Terms of Service
Welcome to ClearMyRide. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ClearMyRide's website, forms, communications, and services ("Services").
By submitting a request, signing up on our landing page, or using any ClearMyRide feature, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
ClearMyRide ("we," "our," or "us") provides vehicle registration, citation resolution, and driver's license renewal assistance for Maryland residents and other supported states. We are an independent service platform — not an affiliate, partner, or representative of the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) or any government agency.
ClearMyRide offers the following core services:
Vehicle Registration Renewal: Processing tag and plate renewals through authorized channels.
Citation Resolution: Reviewing and resolving unpaid tickets or MVA-related holds.
Driver's License Assistance: Guidance and facilitation for renewals or reinstatements.
Status Tracking: Providing regular updates on the status of your case via SMS and email.
Payment Processing: Collecting and remitting required government or administrative fees on your behalf, when applicable.
During the pilot phase, requests are handled manually by our team. Dashboards, automation features, and real-time portals are in development and may not yet be available.
To use our Services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding agreements.
- Reside in a supported jurisdiction (currently Maryland).
- Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information.
- Not use the Services for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose.
You are not required to create a login account during the pilot. However, by submitting your information through our form, you:
- Consent to receive communications via email, text, or phone related to your request.
- Acknowledge that updates may include sensitive information; please ensure your contact details are secure and private.
We may retain communication logs for quality assurance and compliance.
Service Fees:
ClearMyRide charges a processing or convenience fee for each service, displayed prior to checkout or confirmation. These fees are separate from government or MVA fees.
Government or Citation Fees:
We may remit payments to the MVA, courts, or other agencies on your behalf. You authorize us to process such payments as part of your transaction.
Payment Methods:
All payments are processed through PCI-DSS-compliant third-party gateways (e.g., Stripe, Paystack, or other verified processors). ClearMyRide does not store your full payment card information.
Refunds:
Refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If a transaction has been submitted to the MVA or relevant agency, it cannot be canceled.
If ClearMyRide determines an error on our end caused the issue, a partial or full refund may be issued.
Non-Payment:
Unpaid invoices may result in suspension of Services or delay in processing until cleared.
ClearMyRide strives to process all requests promptly; however:
- Timelines depend on MVA system availability, third-party responsiveness, and completeness of your submission.
- We cannot guarantee exact turnaround times or outcomes.
- You will receive daily or periodic updates during the resolution process.
By submitting your information, you grant ClearMyRide temporary, limited authorization to:
- Access and review your MVA or court citation records.
- Submit renewal or resolution requests on your behalf.
- Communicate with relevant agencies solely for the purpose of completing your service.
This authorization ends automatically once your transaction is completed or canceled.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- Upload only documents that belong to you or that you are legally authorized to share.
- Promptly respond to ClearMyRide communications when additional information is required.
- Refrain from misusing or attempting to disrupt the platform.
False or incomplete data may delay processing or lead to cancellation of your request.
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Notice.
In summary:
- All transmissions are encrypted (SSL/TLS 1.2+).
- We comply with Maryland's Personal Information Protection Act (Md. Code Com. Law §14-3501 et seq.) and MVA data-handling rules.
- Data is stored securely and deleted after lawful retention periods.
- You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@clearmyride.com.
ClearMyRide is a private service provider.
While we interact with state systems and follow MVA processes, we are not endorsed, sponsored, or operated by the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration, the Maryland Department of Transportation, or any other government entity.
No Guarantee of Outcome:
While we work diligently to resolve each case, the final outcome depends on official agencies. ClearMyRide cannot guarantee issuance of tags, licenses, or clearance of citations.
Limitation of Liability:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClearMyRide and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of time, revenue, or data.
Maximum Liability:
Our total liability in connection with any claim shall not exceed the total fees you paid for the specific service involved.
Force Majeure:
We are not responsible for delays caused by government shutdowns, system outages, natural disasters, or other events beyond our control.

We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect changes in our operations or legal requirements.
Updated versions will be posted on our website with a revised "Effective Date." Your continued use of our Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
